Early voting for the Austin City Council District 4 special election will kick off Jan. 10, and district residents will be able to visit three local polling places ahead of election day Jan. 25.
The special election’s early-voting period runs from Jan. 10-21 with voting sites open six days of the week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Jan. 15 from noon to 6 p.m. The district’s main early-voting location is Austin’s Permitting and Development Center in Highland with additional locations at the Gustavo “Gus” L. Garcia District Park recreation center and Chinatown Center on North Lamar Boulevard.
Additional voting sites will open throughout District 4 on election day.
Those eligible for a ballot by mail can also vote by sending their ballot to the county clerk’s elections office. Mail ballots should be addressed to Dana Debeauvoir–Travis County Clerk–Elections Division, P.O. 149325, Austin, Texas 78714-9325.
