Midweek Softball Schedule Changes Lead To Tarleton Hosting Texas Tech Wednesday – Tarleton State University Athletics

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton was scheduled to take a Tuesday afternoon road trip but will now play a single home game Wednesday afternoon against Texas Tech at 4 p.m.

 

Due to scheduling conflicts with the Prairie View A&M side of things, Tarleton’s Tuesday doubleheader against the Panthers has been cancelled. Those games are not expected to be made up this season.

 

Instead, Tarleton will get one of those games back on their schedule Wednesday at 4 p.m. CT when they host Texas Tech. It will be the third meeting between the Texans and Red Raiders. It will also be the second opponent from a Power 5 Conference to visit Stephenville this season, joining ACC’s Syracuse.

 

Tarleton won its WAC-opening series against Sam Houston this weekend with a doubleheader sweep Saturday afternoon. After Wednesday’s single game, Tarleton will head west to Abilene for a three-game series against ACU beginning Friday night.
