AUSTIN, Texas — A two-vehicle rollover crash caused heavy traffic delays on Interstate 35 on Sunday afternoon.

Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) tweeted that medics responded at approximately 2 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision with both vehicles rolled over and “at least two patients entrapped in their vehicles.”

The incident happened at 1600 I-35 in the northbound lane, just south of East Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.

ATCEMS later said everyone had been extricated from their vehicles. Two adults were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with “potentially serious, not expected to be life threatening injuries” and two others refused transport.

ATCEMS officials said the crash was affecting traffic on both northbound and southbound lanes of I-35 and warned that there would be heavy delays.

No other information was immediately available.
